Well As weird as it sounds both marmite AND vegemite a good. I generally only eat Vegemite but as a breakfast spread Marmite taste good, but for lunch it's vegemite all the way
So thats a 7.5 for both of them... although it should be more from me cus they are all I eat on snadwiches/ Toast as a spread.. no  peanut butter or jam.. or both . . . . .  Although now I mention it... i do like eating peanut butter . . .  I had a lot to mention tonite.
Thanks bi

Vegemite is tons better than Marmite. Marmite has a sickly poopy consistency to it.

There, I said it and I'm glad. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHhahahahahaha.

1:25 pm - Dissertation Help

yodaki

Hello!
I am doing my dissertation on Marmite and how it refelcts British identity over the past 103 years. Because I am covering quite recent history I need to do some interviews. It is targeted as British people but anyone who would be willing to answer it would be my hero! I will be doing some in person but obviously as many as I can get is great, so if you can answer

I know I'll be berated for having a jar of Vegemite sit so long that it's past the "best by" date, but I have to ask. . .

Since there is a definate difference between an "expiration date" and a "best by date", I was wondering how safe it is to eat my Vegemite after the "best by" date.

Anyone know? It's been some months.

I've never tried Vegemite, but I'm suddenly desperate too. Marmite is my life, most of the time. I just dip my fingertip in and... heaven. I keep a jar beside my bed.

Taste this: Marmite and lemon curd sandwiches. An odd, yet pleasing sensation.

Am now on a hunt for Vegemite in the UK. If my search has no avail, the interent will be my saviour. Where would be best to order Vegemite overseas?

Today, I finally found them. A jar of Marmite and a jar of Vegemite. I should have known right then which was better when I grabbed the last jar. But when I got home and put each onto a slice of bread I figured it out. Vegemite is better. Much better.

And I am a new member. Hi y'all!

I love Vegemite. I still have yet to try Marmite though! What is the difference between the two anyways? I live in the states so Vegemite and Marmite are not readily available but there are some specialty stores that carry the products. I am going to go Marmite shopping tomorrow! Perhaps, I should get a jar of Vegemite too so I can compare them..

How do you like your yeast? I like it on toast with butter! But I am DYING to try it with peanut butter, bananas, cheese and spaghetti..

Marmite.

Even though in that picture it has a big, ugly looking jar.

Even though as a child I grew up loving vegemite. (Shame on me)

Even though marmite places second to my peanut butter on a slice of toast in the morning.

Even though you vegemite lovers probably have valid points in your own mind that would perhaps influence my vote.

I choose marmite.

Hands down.

Sorry Marmite fans, but Vegemite gets my vote. I ordered some of both straight from Australia and I have to say.... Vegemite is like a party in my mouth!! Once it's succulence touched my tongue and spread through my mouth like a wild tingle, I knew that it was the one. The ultimate toast topper of my lifetime. Marmite, Marmalade, Jelly, Jam, Peanut Butter, Apple butter, and plain butter BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!! muahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!

Josh! You will have to bring some marmite and vege over! I shall be the taster! :P =] Well I haven't tried either so I can't say which one is better, but lets bring cocoa baking powder mix mixed with sugar into the picture! That makes pretty good chocolate milk! Lol. Lets see is marmite and vege can do that! :D

3:07 pm - The Moods of Marmite and Vivacity of Vegemite
valmai Hi everyone, I'm from NZ and a long-time fan of both Marmite and Vegemite. My preferance changes periodically for no special reason. Here's my connoisseurs analysis:

Marmite: Marmite has a deep, pungent flavour which is rich and sombre. A hint of sweetness balances out the very earthy base. A spread best had at night, on toast. Highly aromatic, it's intelligent blend of essences is a delight to the educated palate.

Vegemite: Vegemite has a lighter, more frivolous flavour. It is at once fun and thoughtful. Its salty sharpness is a delight on any base, but perhaps best on plain crackers. Vegemite has a cheeky aroma, a delight to the palate. Best enjoyed in the morning and at lunchtime.

Both spreads go well in a sandwich with any type of cheese, honey, jam, peanut butter, chips, lettuce, crackers, also less commonly, with tempeh slices.

I really love them both, couldn't live without them!

current mood: Contemplative

Marmite and marmalade sandwiches = the best!

Also marmite and peanut butter sandwiches are interesting, but a little odd, especially texture-wise...

(oh yeah, vegemite blows!)
